How can I enjoy my first encounter with american football game? Going to see Orlando Predators.?

I'm from Northern Ireland and I'm going to the Orlando Predators vs Spokane Shock!! I've never experienced anything like this before and wud just like to no what can I expect? Is it like you see american sports in the films with big foam hands and people walking round with hotdog things?? Sorry for the ignorance in the subject but its something I no very little about.
