Is it possible for a soccer defender (right) to become a forward?
That's what I love about soccer. Anybody can play any position, it just takes practice. You already know you're weaknesses, so work on them! The most important thing for forwards are shooting, short pes, running, and most importantly, footwork. So, look up the proper shooting technique on youtube, and practice the technique a lot from a short distance. Once the technique of shooting becomes second nature to you, practice running and shooting, shooting off a p, and shooting everywhere on the pitch. Now for footwork, look up "Soccer Dribbling Drills.", and do them a lot. Once you have good control over the ball, and you are more confident with it, start with these youtube videos showing you basic, yet the best moves to beat an opponent. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=J1aHDEBLgP0 There's three parts to it, and practice them as much as you can. Since you have amazing traits when it comes to other parts of soccer, use them. If you are a forward, and the fastest player on the team, chip it by them and run, then shoot or cross it. And remember, if you want to be a forward, attack is always on your mind, and your reactions have to be good. Practice many moves many times so you have an arsenal ready to use, and no hesitation. It will take a lot of practice, but you can easily become one
