My name is Gloria Rios and I am asking this question on behalf of my brother.?

He was diagnosed with Pulmonary Fibrosis and has been disabled for approx 3 years. He has been unable to collect Social Security/Disability benefits due to incorrect DOB. His birth certificate and Mexican pport show 09/01/44 and he has always used that date. Unfortunately, never noticed his green card (believe the DOB date was transposed to 09/10/40. We came to the US in May of 1060. We checked and feel the error is due to Mexico showing the 1 with the small o to reflect "primero". His family has tried to make the correction to no avail. I am asking for Information or istance on who/how to make the correction. We are not sure how long a life he has left since we lost two other brothers to the same illness. His wife and family have all his papers to support all legal rights. He has worked for over 30 years in the US and I feel it's unfair that he is unable to get the benefits he deserves. Please help.
