Question about protein supplement?

I have bought a protein supplement that is supposed to be for malnutrition(B protin). I am thin, but I also want to gain muscle m. Will this kind of protein help me? It says that it gives me 12g of protein for two tablespoons, would eight tablespoons a day be enough. I am 16 years old, 5'11 and weigh 55 kilos
