She stood me up wat do I do?

So I asked this girl to homecoming and she said yes I bought the tix and everything so yesterday iwas getting dressed to go to the dance and she txts me 10 mins before the dance started that she wasn't gonna go because her brother had an asthma attack I know she was bullshiting me for sure . Why would ahe do somehing like that after telling me she would be my date several times even the day before the dance.At first I didn't wanna accept that it hurt me but it actually did.theres Aldo this other chick at school that Sems like she likes me should i go for it?? And please don't say wat if her brother did have an asthma attack cause she had alreday told me she was an only child
