How can i write a calligraphy type font with a normal ink pen?

Not every style can be written with the same type of pen. In calligraphy, there are different tools used and in copying font styles, the correct tool can make all the difference. Broad-edged pens rely on the angle that the pen hits the paper to create thick/thin lines as well as the corners/round edges in many of the letters. A pointed pen relies on pressure (down strokes that are thick) and release (thin upstroke hairlines). An ysis of the font style will give you the letter slant, the proportions of lower case to capitals, the underlying shapes (round, oval) and the height of ascenders/descenders.
